  • Probate & Letters of Administration

A grant of Probate is required in South Australia if a person who has passed away owned certain types of assets. For example, an executor or administrator of a deceased estate may not be able to deal with the deceased’s assets in some cases. For example, real estate will often require a grant of probate in order to be dealt with on a person’s death, as will shares, or money in a bank account if over a certain value.

  • Powers of Attorney

A Power of Attorney is a legal document giving your legal powers to a person acting as your substitute. This might be required if you go away overseas and you need someone to make legal decisions for you, or if you become unwell and you cannot make legal and financial decisions for yourself.
